Do It Yourself Home Security System : Uplink Cell Backup issue ...
&Nbsp; I have a GE Concord Alarm system and purchased a UPlink 2550 Cell Backup. Thus far it's pretty straight forward and communication out to Central works perfectly when running phone test and panic button calls with LAN line disconnected(trying to mimic cut phone line). The problem I'm having is when the system is armed and a sensor is tripped the call never goes out. I have even tried changing the panel settings that monitor lan line with no luck. Have you checked if you have a dialer delay programmed in your alarm panel? Panic buttons and duress normally sent instantly but new false-alarm reduction standards are having manufactures program a dialer delay the shortest usually being 15-seconds after an alarm event. The Concord 4 panels that I install are defaulted for a 30-second delay and I can only shorten it to 15. No problem. Now, when you say lan line do you mean "land" or LAN (local area network). Also check which format is required for the Uplink. If is Contact ID, make sure your Concord is not set for SIA and vise versa. Haven't used Uplink a in a couple of years. Mostly Telguard and Alarm-net so can't help you there. If your two devices communicate via the telco jack then it then there should be no difference in the format. If you connect the Uplink through the keypad bus, that's a whole different story. Now I'm curious. I'll have to check into it. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

After nearly three decades on the federal bench, U.S. District Judge Philip Pro has just about seen it all. A river of humanity has flowed through his courtroom.
But Pro was clearly awed by the selfless courage displayed by marshals and court security officers, who repelled Wicks after he opened fire with a pump-action Mossberg. Wicks, a 66-year-old with a lengthy criminal record, was angry his Social Security benefits had been reduced after moving two years ago from Southern California. His federal lawsuit had been dismissed in September. A magistrate judge had handled the case, and Pro had signed the dismissal.
